What units will I study? The course is split into two integral parts which integrates theory with practice; students are required to complete both theory in college and practical work placements in various placement settings.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or above including English Language or a suitable CACHE Foundation Award in Caring for Children with a Merit grade are needed. A positive school or college reference with good levels of attendance and punctuality will also be required. Previous relevant work experience is preferred.

Delivery & Assessment methods

Students are assessed through assignments, portfolios, placement experience and external examinations.

Progression

What are the progression opportunities? On completion of the course, students could progress onto the CACHE Level 3 Diploma.
