This apprenticeship is ideal preparation for career entry into the exciting and dynamic sector of logistics. This course is aimed at providing the apprentice with the knowledge and skills required in the warehousing and storage and associated office areas through a practical NVQ, underpinning knowledge vocational qualification, and the development of Mathematics and English through key skills communications and applications of number.

Entry Requirements

*Applicants must be employed, and recommended by their employer. *English and Maths to sufficient level to enable successful completion of apprenticeship. *Interview and Basic Skills initial assessment.

Delivery & Assessment methods

The programme is predominantly workplace based delivery, combined with college day release to enable the delivery and assessment of the technical certificate and key/functional skills elements of apprenticeship. Employer Rights and Responsibility is covered in a combination of the NVQ and Induction. Duration is 6 to 12 months depending on job role and experience, and the delivery model. Course Length: 12-18 months.

Progression

Apprentices can progress onto an advanced apprenticeship or a stand alone NVQ level 3 Traffic Office or Logistics Operation Management depending on job role.
