Course content

- Recording cost information
- Cash management
- Spreadsheets
- Ethics in accounting
- Award in Money Management
- Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Additional qualifications for Btec Sub Sid Diploma in Personal and Business Finance
Entry Requirements
Students must already possess the AAT certificate in Accounting (or equivalent) and provide a suitable reference from their last educational institution. Have attendance at a minimum of 85% from Level 2 and completed all aspects of their previous course of study, including Certificate in Workskills and Btec Certificate in Business and Personal Finance to a Merit grade.
Delivery & Assessment methods
The majority of the course is assessed via computer based examination.
Progression
Successful students can progress into employment and continue their accounting studies by taking the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting on a part time basis. After completion of the Level 4 and a period of working in an accounting environment students can apply for full professional membership of the AAT. After completion of the Level 3 students may wish to go to university. The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting has 160 UCAS points attached to it. With the other qualifications studied during their time at college, academically able students have the opportunity of finishing with approximately 280 UCAS points.
