Course Description
This is a practical course held during school holidays for young people who want to learn safe ways to operate a range of modern tractors. It usually runs in the first week of the summer holidays, but can be organised earlier in the year if there is sufficient demand.
Course includes:
- Health and safety
- Driver and passenger safety
- Tractor controls
- Daily maintenance
- Hitching/unhitching trailed equipment
- Manoeuvring with and without trailers
- Operating hydraulics
- Hitching/unhitching mounted implements.
Applicants should be at least 13 years of age
