BHS Preliminary Teaching Test (PTT) Training

This course is suitable for someone who already teaches within the industry but would like to be prepared for the exam, or someone who has never taught before and would like to learn the basic principles to teaching. If you are new to teaching two sets of courses would be strongly recommended. If you wish to complete this course in less weeks this can be arranged.

- Lead rein lessons to beginners and novice riders
- Lunge lessons to novice riders
- Group lessons for flat and jumping to riders riding at stage 2 standard

- Teaching theory
- Equitation theory
- Lesson planning and building a portfolio
- Exam technique
In order to take the PTT exam you need to have BHS stage 2 exam.
Please note if you wish to ride there is a 13 stone weight limit and you will need to be riding at BHS stage 2 level.
In order to gain the most from this course it is advisable to find additional teaching practice.
