Basic Dog Clipping and Stripping
This product does not have fixed starting dates and/or places.
For dog lovers and those involved or wish to be involved in the canine industry.
Course includes:
Anatomy and points of the dog, health checks, skin types, coat
types and breed specifics, grooming, clipping and stripping
equipment, sterilisation and maintenance of equipment, clipping,
hand stripping and expression of anal glands.
Tutor provides students with the opportunity to clip and strip a
variety of breeds ranging from Springers, Cockers, Schnauzers,
Bichons, Border Terriers, West Highlands. Students also have the
opportunity to bring-in their own dogs/dog for grooming.

The course can only be attended by a learner if they have attended the Basic Dog Grooming Course.
Exceptions will only be made, if a learner can demonstrate that they can bath, dry & finish (scissor) a variety of coats/breeds. For this, the Tutor would expect to see a photographic portfolio as evidence– NB –All students leave Bicton’s grooming courses with a CD packed with photos of their work .
