Who is this course for? Young adults with a moderate learning difficulty and or disability in transition from special education, who require a nurturing environment in which to develop independence and skills, will find this is a good setting in which to develop life and vocational skills. What will I study ? - Healthy living - Managing own money - Craft/Cooking Skills - Preparation for Work - Working as part of a group - Working towards goals You will also be given the opportunity to choose from 4 possible optional courses: Catering and customer service, Social Enterprise, Multiskills Sports or Horticulture. How will I be assessed ? Individual progress on the course is reviewed regularly through practical and portfolio assessments at Entry 1 or 2. What qualifications could I achieve ? Edexcel Entry Level Certificate in Personal Progress (Entry 1/2) What can the course lead to ? Possibly into Skills for Employment and Work, entry 2 How do I join the course ? You will need to complete an application form online or on paper. Request one in reception or pick up a prospectus from any of our campuses. You will find the form inside. Will I need an interview ? Yes. Once you apply, a letter will be sent to you inviting you to an interview. The course manager is Sue Reynolds..
