L 3 Childminding

Who is this course for? Newly registered childminders or those proceeding through the registration process with their local authority. To prepare leavers to work as home based childcarers/childminders. As well as learning relevant aspects of childcare, this unit supports the development of policies & procedures relevant to registration & basic business skills for childminding What qualifications or experience do I need ? Candidates who wish to become registerd childminders must have attended a briefing meeting for prospective childminders with their local authority prior to enrolment. You must have literacy skills at level 2 or above. What will I study ? Provided with information and support for OFSTED registration. How will I be assessed ? 100% attendance required to meet OFSTED registration requirements. What qualifications could I achieve ? CYPOP5 Unit of Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (QCF) What can the course lead to ? Registered childminders can apply for the QCF Diploma for Childrens and Young People's Workforce. How do I join the course ? Enrolment forms will be signed at the Childminding Briefing Sessions at London Borough of Barnet (LBB). If you have not obtained a signed enrolment form you will need written confirmation from LBB that you have attended a briefing session.
