Units offered in Science: - Unit 1: Starting Work in the Science Sector - Unit 2: Working in the Science Sector - Unit 3: Using Equipment to Make Scientific Observations and Measurements - Unit 4: Personal Effectiveness - Unit 6: Financial Management - Unit 7: Useful Chemical Products - Unit 8: Living Systems - Unit 9: Applications of Energy and Exploring Science - Unit 11: Health and Illness - Unit 12: Science Detection In addition to studying vocational units, students will have 7 hours of communication, including a tutorial of 1 hour. Students also have minimum of 1 hour of Functional Skills Maths and 1 hour of Functional Skills IT a week. How will I be assessed ? The Science element of the course is assessed through coursework. Students must complete 1-3 assignments for each of the aforementioned units. What qualifications could I achieve ? BTEC Introductory Diploma in Applied Science, Edexcel What can the course lead to ? After completing this course successfully learners can progress onto a level 2 course, usually BTEC Level 2 or First Diploma in Applied Science. How do I join the course ?
