CACHE DCE L3 Childcare

Who is this course for? The CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education is a two year full-time course for anyone wishing to work with children. You will learn about children at different stages in their growth and development. You will also learn how to care for and educate children and how to work with parents, carers and other professionals in this field. The course offers the underpinning knowledge to gain a level 3 qualification. What qualifications or experience do I need ? 5 GCSE's at grade C or above including English Language or NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education or the Level 2 Diploma in Childcare and Education ( A grade). Evidence of work experience with children. What will I study ? You gain the diploma by successfully completing the eleven units below: * Child Development * Health & Safety * Play & Learning * Caring for Children * Child and Family * International Approaches * First Aid Practical work placement in real work settings is an integral part of the course. How will I be assessed ? In order to gain the Diploma you will have to complete: * 1 exam * Assignments and a Research Project * Satisfactory 'Professional Development Profiles' * Satisfactory 'Practice Evidence Records' What qualifications could I achieve ? The Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. What can the course lead to ? You will have been trained to work with children in a wide range of settings, for example in nurseries, schools, family centres and hospitals. The course will enable you to acquire UCAS points for entry into higher Education. Jobs include: Nursery supervisor, Pre-school leader, Creche leader, Special educational needs supporter, Nursery Nurse, Nanny, Or: Progress on to the BA in Early Childhood Studies or to Social Work/Nursing training. How do I join the course ? Complete a full-time application form. You will then be invited to attend an interview. Will I need an interview ? Yes.
