Who is this course for? Students on this course, (which replaces C&G2330 Level 2) will learn the advanced techniques and methods of different wiring systems used in the electrical installation industry. What qualifications or experience do I need ? Students must have a Level 2 qualification in C&G2365 or C&G2330 together with a minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grade C or Functional Skills Literacy and Numeracy Level 2. Topics covered include: - Health and safety in building services engineering - Principles of Electrical Science - Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems - Electrical installations: fault diagnosis and rectification - Electrical Installations: Inspection, Testing and Commissioning - Electrical Systems Design - Career awareness in building services engineering How will I be assessed ? Students will be taught in the classroom and workshop and will be assessed through: Practical Assignments, Written Assessment and City and Guilds on-line multiple choice tests. What qualifications could I achieve ? This course will allow students to progress into employment in the industry, or to the following City & Guilds qualifications: NVQ in Electrotechnical Services Level 3, Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G2394) Level 3, Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2395) Level 3 or Award in Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations (C&G2396) Level 3 and 17th Edition Wiring Regulations - C&G 2382). What can the course lead to ?
