Who is this course for? This 1 year course is designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in Performing Arts covering aspects of Drama and Dance. What qualifications or experience do I need ? * 4 GCSE's grade A* - D preferably including English, or * BTEC Level 1 qualification in a related area Applicants to show evidence of ability through: * Audition * Supporting Reference * Interview Project including supporting statement What will I study ? This is a broad based course that enables you to experience a range of core skills which will enable students to develop skills in Dance and Drama exploring: * Acting * Contemporary Dance * Choreography * Performing Arts Business. How will I be assessed ? Assessment is formative and coursework is assessed throughout the year. What qualifications could I achieve ? BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts. What can the course lead to ? On successful completion of this course students may apply to progress onto our BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts. How do I join the course ? Complete and return an application form to Admissions for an interview to be arranged. Will I need an interview ? Yes. An interview and audition will then be set up for you.
