Description
This course is for experienced solar thermal hot water installers who have achieved competency in an NOS-mapped solar thermal installers course, need QCF accreditation and do not require any training. It is an assessment-only course.
This course covers the inspection, servicing and maintenance of solar thermal hot water systems in accordance with the new QCF framework qualification.
A training manual which accompanies the course will be sent out to you 3-4 weeks prior to attendance and you will be expected to self study in preparation for the assessments. exam and practical assessment in the workshop.
This solar thermal hot water certificate is recognised by all the current Microgeneration Certification Schemes as meeting the requirement for appropriate training in the solar thermal technology. Successful completion of the training and assessment provides training evidence for suitably qualified individuals to support their application for registration on a Microgeneration Certification Scheme that allows self-certification. It also provides notification to building control departments of work completed
You need to have obtained the QCF qualification in installation of solar thermal hot water systems before attending this course.
This course leads to a Level 3 award within the Qualifications and Credit Framework. The training has been mapped to National Occupational Standards which means you are receiving the most beneficial and industry-relevant training possible. Upon completion of this course you can then progress to another Level 3 award in environmental technologies.
