As an ICT student we will work with you to develop the knowledge, skills and practical experience that you need to become a highly employable professional with an exceptional future ahead of you.

Please note that these units can be subject to change depending on student interest and changes in industry demands. The course covers functional skills too.
Individual learning targets are set each six week term and you receive regular feedback on your progress in meeting these targets. Formal assessment is through assignments, projects, presentations and practical assessments, which are set at regular intervals throughout the course. All work for your Extended Diploma is assessed through coursework. Additional qualifications in areas such as English or maths are assessed by an external exam.
This Extended Diploma has strong links to industry, reflected through guest speakers and work with outside clients.

The qualifications awarded are the Edexcel Extended Diploma in IT and an additional skills qualifications in English or maths.

Applicants for a level 3 programme will normally have:
- at least four GCSEs at grade C or above (including some subjects related to the proposed area of study) and/or a completed level 2 award
- the willingness to study for an additional level 2 qualification in English and/or maths

Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and complete an assessment. All students will have their literacy and numeracy needs supported within the programme.

The majority of students progress to courses in higher education at either degree or HND level. Many specialise in a particular field.
Possible careers include IT support ,web design, programme design or network administration.

You will have a thirst for learning and be prepared to work outside your guided lessons. As part of the course you are expected to keep yourself up to date with the latest development in the subject area.
