Art and Design Level 1 Diploma

This course is designed for adult learners who are may be returning to education, or adults that are seeking to gain an art and design qualification to support their independent practice.

It’s very practical and hands on, and allows you to build skills and confidence through art and design.

3 units must be completed to achieve the full certificate:

1 Using and handling media and materials in art and design - basic introduction to materials used in art and design and the exploration of some simple techniques.
2 Researching and developing ideas through practical application of techniques - how to plan, research and develop creative ideas for original concepts
3 Working to a brief in art and design - working on a set project to create a final piece of work

You gain a Level 1 qualification in Art and Design.

No previous subject knowledge is required, but students should be able to demonstrate an interest in art and design as well as having basic literacy and numeracy skills.
