Introduction

This qualification aims to give learners an understanding of mobile application design and development, and allows them to investigate their own ideas for a mobile device application.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Candidate reports and logs: written audio or visual report, professional discussion. Development logs/notes: written documents, annotated research material, notepads, sketchbooks. Design brief: product and report. Product: sketchbook and final app.

Entry Requirements

Students must have a level 1 qualification in ICT or related subject.

Additional Information

Learners will explore the rules and conventions for mobile app design and development which will then be used to guide them in the production of an actual app. Features of existing Graphical User Interfaces will be examined and then used to create visual

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to NCFE Level 3 Certificates in IT User Skills (ITQ) or Creative Art.
