This course will give you the basic skills in professional cookery.

What Will I Learn

You will learn the basic skills to have a career as a successful chef.

Example Modules

  • Vegetable Preparation
  • Butchery
  • Fishmongery
  • Hot Meat
  • Poultry and Fish Cookery

How Will I Be Assessed?

You will complete practical tests, six timed assessments and two practical synoptic tests. You are also required to complete written assignments.

Entry Requirements

You will nee three GCSE's , grade D or above, or an equivalent qualification, and an enthusiasm and commitment to aspire in hospitality and the culinary arts.

Our courses will prepare you for entry into the industry. On successful completion you would be able to progress onto a Level 2 apprenticeship.
