Award in Creative Hairdressing Design Skills

Introduction

This programme will equip you with the core skills required in a salon to creative individual hairstyles and looks. It will run on a Thursday from 4.00-6.30pm

What Will I Learn

This is a practical based course and you will be assessed on your competency to perform both your theoretical design skills and your practical skills.

• Advise and Consult with Clients, Style and Finish Hair, Set and Dress Hair

How Will I Be Assessed?

You will carry out a range of practical assessments within a working environment. You will also collate theoretical evidence in the form of assignments, projects and tests.

Entry Requirements

You will already hold or be working toward a Level 2 Hairdressing / Beauty qualification along with a high level of commitment to learning and aspirations to progress into the industry must be displayed

Additional Information

Students will need to have a Hair Kit, salon uniform and text books.

Progression

All our programmes are designed to allow you to progress from your appropriate entry level up to university, Foundation Degrees or the workplace. Direct progression from this programme would be NVQ Diploma in Barbering or Hair dressing

Career Opportunities

This vocational qualification is designed to equip you with the skills required within the workplace. Positions that would be open to you will include Stylist and Design Stylist
