OFSTED requirements for paediatric first aid. Each course is designed with the specific needs of Nursery staff and Child minders in mind. It covers first aid on children from birth to puberty. Prerequisites
Nil
Suitability
Anyone who works with or cares for children will be given skills and techniques to give them the confidence to handle emergencies when dealing with children. Also, mums and dads will learn skills to deal with emergencies in the home.
Typical Interest Groups
Appointed Persons, Child minders, Primary Teachers, Welfare Assistance, Care Assistants, Play Leaders/Assistants, anyone who works with children as well as mums and dads.
Qualification
In line with recommendations within current regulations, on completion of the course, delegates will receive a Paediatric First Aid and Appointed Person' certificate which is valid for one year.
