Level: Level 3
The course offers an opportunity to study elements of the language, literature and history of the classical world. It will help in the understanding of the culture, politics and social life of Rome and / or Greece at significant periods in their history.
Staff have particular expertise in the Classics after studying them at degree level and reading around the subject in their spare time.
A successful student must be committed to reading around the subject. Literature sources such as Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey will be studied to get a grasp on the Classics.
Students can expect to visit places of historical importance in order to get a greater understanding of the period of time …
