The management of a project begins at the planning stage. An effective plan developed to an appropriate level of detail must be created to help the project manager realise the project’s deliverables.
This Core Course looks at the tools and techniques used to produce project plans. Consideration is given to clear scope definition and the techniques used to produce a realistic estimate of project activities.
Following on from the definition of the project, the course looks at the methods used to develop schedules for both time and resources.

Prerequisites
This course is suitable for project managers, project planners and team members. As a Core Course, no prior knowledge is assumed other than an understanding of the project environment.

- Develop a network diagram and carry out critical path analysis
- Develop and optimise resource plans
- Enhance the plan by applying risk management principles
