This advanced award is designed to prepare you for a career in the joinery/carpentry industry by instilling the job knowledge and practical skills require for this sector.

How long is the course?

One year.

How will I be assessed?

You will be expected to collect work-based evidence and photos for your portfolio to enable acheivement of the NVQ.

What will I study?

You'll study a range of modules that will include the following:

- Erect structural carcassing components
- Install first fixing components
- Install second fixing components
- Conform to efficient working practices
- Move and handle resources

You will also be required to undertake Functional Skills in English and Maths.
