In this course you will be exposed to a variety of teaching methods. Several guest speakers have been arranged to come and relate their experience to you, providing first-hand knowledge of law practices and the current issues facing those working within the legal profession. Visits to a Crown Court, a Magistrates’ Court and the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham are scheduled to take place.Law combines well with English, Psychology, Sociology, Economics and Business Studies A Levels.

The core modules of the A Level course will include law making and the legal system, the concept of liability, and an in-depth study of either criminal, tort, or contract law. Case studies will be used to link the theory to real life, giving you practical experience that is useful for a range of sectors and progression to university level study. You can expect to develop your skills in strategic thinking and logic as you progress on the course.What else can I do?
The A Level in Law combines well with Business Studies, English Language, Psychology and Sociology.What does the course lead to?
A qualification in law is useful in many different industries and for a wide variety of job types. Options would include legal secretary, legal accounts or work within HR, administration or marketing.What can I go on to study?

Entry requirements
You must possess five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English language or English literature or combined English, as well as mathematics and a humanities subject such as history, geography or law.How do I apply?
To apply, simply complete the A Levels online application form.You don’t need to apply for each subject area you are interested in. Once we have received your application form we will invite you into college for an interview or audition where we will be able to discuss every aspect of the course you have chosen, as well as any alternatives you may be considering. You will also have the opportunity to visit the areas of the college used for your programme choice.
