To succeed it needs leaders who provide consistent leadership on the frontline to influence both practice and culture.

Too much leadership theory and practice of recent decades has focused on competency checklists, visions and values, strategy and its execution.  It emphasises the importance of the ‘big architecture’ of leadership – getting the plans right, executing them well, the set piece speech, the leadership conference.

But there is another school of practice that looks at leadership as also having humbler contexts in the practice of our everyday conversations in the workplace.

In this one day workshop we will examine the opportunities in your workplace for these everyday conversations to provide stronger and more consistent leadership and to influence practice and culture one conversation at a time.

Objectives

Attendance at this course will provide you with knowledge and skills including:

  • How to recognise and take opportunities to make your everyday conversations more ‘leaderful’
  • Leading conversations at every level – context, behaviour, skills, knowledge, values, beliefs, identity and purpose
  • How to choose your words with care and intent to make a difference
  • How to back up the words with the body and voice
  • How to choose ‘different strokes for different folks’

You will also gain the confidence to try holding different more leaderful conversations in your everyday practice.
