The MA in Education offers the flexibility for participants to 'build' their programme through a combination of courses. This flexible framework is made up of core courses, optional courses and an educational research project. These are delivered through a combination of face to face teaching, self study, negotiated and work based learning. It is also possible to accredit prior learning, experience and qualifications, for example, master's credits achieved during a PGCE. In this way, it is possible to achieve an 'endorsed' MA which focuses on an area of particular professional relevance to an individual or institution. We always welcome enquiries about ways in which the programme can be adapted for individual and institutional needs.
The programme is underpinned by the concepts of the educator as reflective practitioner and researcher enabling practitioners to interrogate theory and practice and create new knowledge.
