Advanced Architectural Design (Top-up)

The Masters in Advanced Architectural Design is for students who have completed at least 120 credits of the Diploma in Architecture. The programme is a one year part-time top up Masters of 60 credits. It aims to raise particular aspects of their research and design of the students thesis design project that they have undertaken in the ateliers and units of the Diploma in Architecture, to a more focused and advanced level. These specialised architectural design areas and options could come from a wide range of areas: urban, theoretical, representational, constructional or environmental issues. It creates the opportunity to produce some of the most architectural advanced design in the ateliers and School. It will build on the schools internationally and professionally recognised prize winning design work. This MA leads to enhanced architectural career prospects in the profession, and the potential for converting the research into part of a PhD.
