What can this course lead to?

Many very experienced, but unqualified teachers find the lack of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) limits their career progression opportunities and job prospects.

The QTS Direct (assessment only) programme is an ideal way to secure QTS without further training or study.

Resources and facilities

We offer a wide range of learning and information resources designed for flexible learning in addition to modern campus facilities.

All of resources you require will be made available through the virtual learning environment and additionally you will provided with a free electronic portfolio.

Student work

This is an assessment-only route to QTS that does not require further training or study. However, you will be expected to produce a portfolio of evidence against the QTS standards. You will also be interviewed and ask to take appropriate subject knowledge audits as part of the initial assessment process.

Normally candidates will undertake a four week full-time equivalent assessed practice in their school setting.

Entry requirements See course specific entry requirements listed below.
