You will need to attend one of the induction days prior to commencing your first module; these are running in Lancaster on 18 or 19 September 2013 (you only need to attend one date), 08 January 2014 and 26 March 2014 and in Carlisle on 20 September 2013, 07 January 2014 and 25 March 2014. If you have studied at the University of Cumbria in the past two years the requirement to attend the induction day may be waived.

Credit and UCAS requirements Credit: 60 credits Selection criteriaApplications will be reviewed on an individual basis and potential students will be offered advice by an academic tutor on the suitability of the award and their module choice within the award, dependent on factors such as currency of prior learning, and their personal and professional development needs. Students should be able to show potential benefit from studying for the award and offer a rationale for their module choices.

There is one core module for the University Advanced Diploma Practice Development for nurses who are not qualified as a children's nurse. Then there are two core choice modules, you must select one of these modules, one further module must be selected from the optional module list. If you are a qualified children's nurse you will need to select two modules from the optional list.
