You will need to attend one of the induction days prior to commencing your first module; these are running in Lancaster on 18 or 19 September 2013 (you only need to attend one date), 08 January 2014 and 26 March 2014 and in Carlisle on 20 September 2013, 07 January 2014 and 25 March 2014. If you have studied at the University of Cumbria in the past two years the requirement to attend the induction day may be waived.

What can this course lead to?Having completed this University Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health, you could use this as 60 credits towards a top-up degree in BSc (Hons) Nursing Practice or BSc (Hons) Practice Development.
You could also consider applying for the BSc(Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nursing – Occupational Health Nursing, successful completion of which would make you eligible to register with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) on the NMC SCPHN register.
Do you already have a degree? Have you considered moving on to a Masters degree? There are several options you can consider. You could take the PgD Specialist Community Public Health Nursing – Occupational Health Nursing programme.
FinanceIf you are employed within NHS North West and this module is to be funded by your employing Trust, please contact your Line Manager and CPD Lead for advice relating to funding and the funding application process.

Credit and UCAS requirements Credit: 60 credits Selection criteriaYou need to be working in, or have access to working in an occupational health setting. Applications will be accompanied by one professional reference.
You may be interviewed by a member of the course team; this interview may be by telephone. During this interview you will be offered advice on the suitability of the award and your module choice within the award dependent on your personal and professional development needs. You should be able to discuss benefits of studying the award.
