Credit and UCAS requirements Credit: 20 credits Selection criteria Applicants should have NVQ level 3 in health care or equivalent level 3 qualifications. Full consideration will be given to applicants who do not have the above formal qualifications but who have significant relevant work experience within Stroke Care. All applicants should be employed in settings where they will have access to stroke patients; this could include NHS, private and voluntary providers. Applicants should have access to a suitably qualified workplace mentor. Modules HLLG4014 Fundamentals of Rehabilitation for People with Neurological Conditions (20 credits at level 4) Course summary Generic and specific rehabilitation skills; client-centred approaches , encouraging independence; communication both verbal and written, interviewing skills, team working and roles, information gathering, assessment, rehabilitation planning, problem solving, grading activity, goal setting, therapeutic relationships in rehabilitation, motivating clients, outcome measures; discharge planning; referral and review.There are no frequently asked questions yet.
