ModulesHPHG6018 Diabetes: Management of Type 1 (20 credits at level 6)
Intended Learning OutcomesOn successful completion, you will be able to:
- Critically review the pathophysiological processes occurring in the development and disease progression of Type 1 diabetes
- Demonstrate a critical awareness of the complexities and impact of Type 1 diabetes on the client and carer
- Critically analyse the care and management options in the care of clients with Type 1 diabetes including blood glucose monitoring and insulin management
- Critically analyse the potential complications of Type 1 diabetes recommending appropriate evidence based therapeutic interventions
- Apply evidence based health promotion interventions to clients and their carers in the management of Type 1 diabetes.
