The Media and Cultural Studies BA at Chichester enables students to learn through the study and experience of emergent trends in contemporary media cultures. We encourage learning within a context that encompasses a wide range of subjects and types of study, with an emphasis on preparing students for work in the media, cultural industries and beyond.

Our courses demonstrate our passion for the media and although we emphasise relevant contemporary media trends and cultural patterns, we place a strong focus on grounding this within historical and academic work. Students will be able to experience a wide variety of modules and develop their skills within a close-knit, supportive environment. Courses encourage students to engage with contemporary events and trends within the media including the role of the individual and the changes that New Media is making within the industry as a whole.
We value the relationship between students and staff extremely highly, and this is reflected in high NSS results in which students have praised their learning experience. These results also provide evidence of accessibility and support, as we strive to make our courses relevant to the vibrant changes happening at present in the media. Alumni have gone on to a diverse of work in the media industry around the world.
