Why study Product Design at Dundee?

The Product Design programme at the University of Dundee has established a world-class reputation across industry, research and teaching. We have strong connections to the UK and global design economy – with tutors running successful design consultancies that operate on a global scale. We also aim to provide students with :

• Expertise in prototyping with technology
• Connections to academic and industry leaders in design and technology.
• The ability to resolve social and technical needs in a designed product through self motivation and direction.

An additional aim for our overseas students is to provide them with educational and cultural experiences which are unique to the UK. What's so good about Product Design at Dundee?

Our research has attracted a number of substantial grant awards including a £1.1m UK government award to explore new ways to connect disadvantaged communities to the digital economy; a five year industry PhD programme in self-service funded by the financial solutions company NCR; and a Microsoft Research PhD Scholarship to investigate digital navigation.

Our staff exhibit their work worldwide, with products housed in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
