Sport & Leisure Management - BA (Hons) part-time

Sport and leisure management is an established employment sector with career opportunities in a wide range of private, public and voluntary sector organisations. Leisure and sport remain high profile government priorities with the London Olympics, concerns about obesity, the development of physical activity opportunities for all, and the provision of public leisure facilities all generating new career paths in the management of leisure and sport facilities and operations.

This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a professional management career in leisure and sport. The focus of the course is on the management of leisure and sport rather than on their direct provision so, for example, there is little emphasis on coaching or performance, but a focus on management skills, marketing and human resource management in the context of the leisure and sport industries.
