Teaching on the course will be split into two main parts. In the first part, you will study ethical theories and legal principles in which you will develop the tools that are necessary to guide decision making. You will be encouraged to consider the relevance and utility of these theories to your own practice and to the wider delivery of health and social care.
In part two you will build on this knowledge and understanding by considering some of the practical day to day issues that are encountered in the modern health care setting, looking at the themes of beginning of life, medical technology, patient safety and end of life issues.
