IOSH Managing Safely

The nationally recognised 4 day course is accredited by the Institute of Safety and Health to provide managers with the required skills and knowledge necessary to manage all aspects of health and safety in the work place. Our flexible high impact programme covers all of the main health and safety issues.

Managing safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. It is designed to direct them towards the practical actions they need to take to help them handle health and safety in their teams and to ensure compliance with both their organisation's policy and best practice in health and safety.

The course comprises of seven interactive training modules followed by a written assessment and work based project:

- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding responsibilities
- Identifying hazards
- Accident and incident investigation
- Measuring safety performance
- Protecting the environment

Delegates who successfully complete the work-based practical assignment and the written assessment at the end of the course are awarded a nationally recognised IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely. Successful candidates should leave the course confident in their ability to recognize and apply the necessary processes and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and to understand their work place health and safety requirements.
