Course Content
The aim of the course is to ensure that safety requirements are appreciated by managers and enable them to review their own department systems for safety, introduce new controls or implement changes to make their workplace safer.
Topics covered are:
- Accidents and Reporting
- Active and reactive monitoring
- Risk assessment and risk control
- Health & Safety legislation
- Common hazards
- Safety management systems
- Environmental issues.
45 minute written assessment and a practical assessment to be completed at the student's workplace.
Successful delegates will receive a Managing Safely certificate issued by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Heath (IOSH).
Entry Requirements
Foundation or Level 2 Award in Health and Safety.
