English language (ESOL) Routes to Learning
This course is for young people aged 16 - 18 years old who want to progress to a college course or students aged 18+ who want to improve their language skills for work or further study. If the number of places is limited, priority will be given to 16-18 year olds.
The course will emphasise Language skills - reading, writing, speaking and listening in a variety of contexts. Numeracy and ICT will also be taught. Vocational workshop tasters and work experience will be included where possible.

Course Costs:
All students on full-time courses will need to pay a materials / resources fee. Details will be provided before enrolment. If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay tuition or registration fees for your course. For students aged 19 or over, there will be a tuition fee (depends on the course) for each year of the course as well as a registration fee (which includes exam fees). However, many students will be eligible for reduced fees and / or financial support towards the costs. Click here for detailed information. There is a resource fee for the course, which will be used to obtain specific items to help you to achieve in class. There will be a separate charge for off-site visits. There is also a range of compulsory educational visits to enhance students' understanding of British culture, history and citizenship. It should be noted that costs may vary slightly due to circumstances beyond our control. Please enquire the fee when you apply for the course.
Additional Information:
If you are aged 19 or over, you may be eligible to apply to the college's learner support fund for financial support with the costs associated with your studies.
