From Sylvain Chomet to Hayao Miyazaki, from Wallace and Gromit to Finding Nemo, from Disney to art house, animation covers an astonishing range of styles – and talents. Animation demands creativity, technical skill and a wealth of theory. This course explores the whole production process and shows you what it takes to be a professional animator.
You’ll learn different techniques from traditional 2D drawn animation to stop-motion to the latest computer generated methods. We’re excited by computer technology, but you’ll learn the fundamental principles through drawing for animation.
You’ll be learning from the best. Illustrious alumni return regularly to share their experiences in the animation industry and critique your work.
