Web Design (Beginners)

Course Content: This course is an introduction to designing and creating websites. By the end of this course, students will be able to: -

• analyse and design web pages

• use graphics to enhance website presentation

• publish and promote a web site

At the end of the course, students will have created a fully functioning interactive website.

Entry Qualification: No formal qualifications are required though familiarity with using the internet is desirable. Special Features: •Access to online resources containing all relevant handouts and demonstration exercises written by college staff.

•All students are eligible for a full academic copy of the Microsoft Expression Studio 4 Ultimate.

Course Format: The course will be primarily practical in nature. There is no formal assessment to complete. On completion, students will be awarded a ‘Tameside College Beginners Web Design Certificate’. Progression: On successful completion of the course students will be able to undertake the Web Design (Intermediate) course at Tameside College.
