Course Content

Photoshop is one of the most popular design tools in the web design industry, and as such is often a requirement if you want to do front end web design.

The course will give you all the skills you need to create graphics for web design, along with plenty of ideas.

If you have completed any of our other Web Design courses, the topics covered on this course should prove a very useful addition to your skills.

The course will cover the following topics:

• Using the different shape tools
• Manipulating shapes, including adding styling to them
• Create Buttons, Tabs and Background Images
• Incorporate photographic images within site designs
• Batch processing
• Creating various borders, adding drop shadows and more. These skills should also save you hours of repetitive work
• Create full page designs and colour schemes, bringing together all the skills you’ll have learnt by this point
• Exporting images ready to be used in your site layouts.

Entry Requirements

You will need some experience of one of the major graphics tools; if you only have a very basic knowledge you might want to consider completing one of the college's photoshop courses, for instance Adobe Photoshop Stage 2.
