To provide an update on new developments in the law and practice relating to those leaving and entering the UK, including discussion of 'hot topics' for taxpayers and HMRC
The course will include
- statutory residence test: where are we now?
- an update on recent changes in the law (statute and case law) relating to residence and domicile
- secondees to and from the UK: practical planning points for PAYE and NICs
- leaving the UK: what are the opportunities, and the danger areas
- coming to the UK: planning considerations for the non-domiciled
