If you are interested in science and looking to follow a career in the area, or wishing to progress to university, then this is the course for you. The course is equivalent to 3 A levels and will develop your learning through practical tasks, activities and exercises.
What will I do on the course?
The course covers a range of subjects which are delivered through units where the emphasis is upon a practical hands-on approach to science. You will study eighteen units over the two years covering a range of subjects including;- Investigative and practical techniques
- Perceptions of science
- Physiology of the human body systems
- Environmental sciences

What qualifications do I need?
- 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English or Maths, OR
- 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C excluding English or Maths, OR
- Level 2 qualification in a related subject
- Adequate standard of English and Maths
- Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
- You should have a strong interest in science and demonstrate a commitment to succeed
