Typing Course

Objective

This touch typing course is aimed at helping students reach a touch typing speed of at least 45 words per minute, which an acceptable speed for careers which involve touch typing. These careers includes Secretarial, Legal Secretarial, Medical Secretarial, PA and even some Admin roles. This course is suitable for all levels of ability from beginners to those looking to refresh or improve their skills. It can take you up to and far beyond a pace of 45wpm, we have many graduates who achieved speeds of 80-100wpm+. Being a good typist is a vital attribute of a successful secretary. The majority of firms look closely at candidates’ typing ability when making recruitment decisions.

Course Format

The course times are very flexible and can be done in conjunction with a full-time job or any of our Secretarial courses. This is because students are allowed to use the machines at any time the centre is open (six days a week, most of the year) or log in remotely for typing practice.

Duration

The course lasts for one month but can be extended on application. We need a maximum of twenty four hours notice to get the individual student started, but generally it is possible to just come in and train.
