- Work effectively as a member of the rescue team
- Deal with the emergency situation in accordance with the details specified in the emergency arrangements
- Ensure any used equipment is clearly identified for service and/or serviced

- Demonstrate correct checks on equipment provided for rescue
- Demonstrate correct checks on self-contained open circuit breathing

Module 3 - Operational procedures for rescue team
- Confirm that communication systems are operational prior to entry
- Determine environmental conditions within the confined space
- Follow appropriate search and rescue techniques to locate personnel within the confined space
- Administer relevant first aid treatment in preparation for evacuating a casualty from the confined space
Module 4 - Securing the confined space
- Demonstrate safe transfer of casualty onto medical services
- Maintain security around confined space
- Account for all rescue equipment used by team
- Used equipment to be serviced/isolated for servicing
- Complete appropriate reports/records
- Team duties outside vessel
