Childcare NVQ Level 2

Work- based and working a minimum of 10.5hrs per week. A system of continuous assessment within the workplace is used for performance-related evidence supported by oral questions and written work. Knowledge gained from study days supports the evidence of performance.

You gain valuable work experience in a childcare setting, whilst getting a recognised qualification.

You must be employed in a relevant childcare setting or actively doing regular voluntary work (subject to conditions). No formal qualifications are required however as an applicant you must demonstrate numeracy literacy and verbal communication skills. (Support may be available for students who demonstrate a lack of ability in these areas)

You can move on to the Childcare NVQ Level 3 course, or a Level 3 apprenticeship.
