Awarding Body: VTCT Course Details To achieve this qualification,

qualification within the industry. The qualification is
vocationally recognised and endorsed by the Sports Massage
Association (SMA). Entry Requirements Learners must be in
possession of one or more of the following: A VTCT Level 3
qualification in Sports Massage Therapy. Other equivalent
qualifications related to Sport, Exercise or Fitness or Sports
Massage. Assessment Unit 1 is marked internally via portfolio of
evidence of knowledge and understanding of functional anatomy &
physiology. Additionally the unit will be assessed by completion of
2 observations on body landmarks, joints and muscles. Unit 2 will
be internally assessed by the means of completion of portfolio
evidence and practical observations of the learner planning,
applying and evaluating massage methods. Learning Outcome Level 4
Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy. Membership of Sports
Massage Association (SMA); whereby you can work independently in
private practice/self-employment. Progression after Programme
Foundation Degree (Fd SC) in Sports Coaching and Exercise. BSC
(Hons) Sports Therapy.
