Performing Engineering Operations NVQ 2251 Levels 1 and 2 Awarding Body City & Guilds Course Details To earn this qualification, you need to show you have a particular set of skills. These NVQs will be assessed at work or in a simulated workplace. For each unit, your assessor watches and asks questions as you perform a task, or looks at a portfolio of work that you have built as formal evidence of your learning. Then they confirm you have the skills to do the job well. Which level is right for me? Level 1 You are just starting your career in engineering and require a broad range of engineering competencies to enable safe progression into the workplace. You would like to progress on to more advanced qualifications or perhaps an Engineering Apprenticeship. Level 2 You have some knowledge and basic skills in production or maintenance engineering– probably from a role where you work under supervision. You would like to increase your skills and perhaps progress to more advanced qualifications. Each level will require one year of study. Level 1 and Level 2 may be supplemented with additional units. A Course For Anyone aged 16 or over, looking to start or progress their career in engineering. Entry Requirements Level 1: There are no formal entry requirements but you will be expected to attend an interview. Level 2: Four GCSEs at grades D-E or above, or a Level 1 pass. Learning Outcome Successful candidates will be awarded Performing Engineering Operations City & Guilds NVQ 2251 at Level 1 or Level 2.
