Counselling Skills Award Level 2 Awarding Body: ABC Awards Course Details The course is skills based and practical. Different counselling skills theories and knowledge are taught and the student develops their skills through practice and discussion. There is also a module covering personal development and reflection. The course involves small and large group discussions, practical exercises and tutor input. A Course for Students with no previous knowledge of counselling who wish to develop their skills. Entry Requirements Minimum age of 18 years. Minimum of 80% attendance. The ability to work sensitively in a group. Willingness to contribute and take part in group activities. Completion of the assessed work. Assessment The qualification is assessed internally which involves observation of practice and discussion and short pieces of written work. A Portfolio of evidence will be completed during the course. Learning Outcome Level 2 Award in Counselling Skills. Progression after Programme Suitable candidates can progress onto the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills.
