Advanced Apprenticeship Plastering Diploma Level 3 Course Details
To commence the Solid Plastering Framework you must already have
NVQ Level 2 and/or extensive experience. To gain the qualifications
listed below, you will need to be in a placement which involves
working in a plastering environment and assisting a tradesman/woman
in practical activities, performing some tasks without direct
supervision, in order to gain the relevant occupational and
industry skills required, and complete Functional Skills during the

To commence the Solid Plastering Framework you must already have

course unless exempt. The current Solid Plastering Framework is:
NVQ Level 3: Conform to general workplace safety. Confirm work
activities and resources for the work. Develop and maintain good
working relationships. Confirm the occupational method of work.
Produce complex internal solid plastering finishes. Produce complex
external rendering finishes. Plus one of the optional units:
Install direct bond dry linings. Install mechanically fixed
plasterboard. You will collect evidence from work and produce a
portfolio to prove you have the skills. Technical Certificate: A
Diploma Award at Level 3 must be completed as part of the Solid
Plastering Framework. This is a theory based qualification with an
end exam. There is also a requirement to complete a synoptic
practical task in the college workshops under work simulated
conditions. Functional Skills Functional skills are skills that
will help you become an effective member of staff in any place of
work. They help you to become flexible and adaptable and therefore
a highly valued member of the team. The functional skills are
completed by an exam (depending on your GCSE grades).
